WELCOME!!!  My name is Stephanie and I am a 34 year old athlete and single mom. I am a simple girl with great big dreams and have no fear to reach my arms out wide to grab them! I love to LIVE and LOVE my life to the fullest each and every day!

I fell passionately in love with endurance running in April 2013 when I completed the St. Louis Marathon. Since then I have completed five marathons, a 50k Ultra Marathon and completed races on three continents. I love to smile, sing and laugh my way through races.  I have the endurance and heart to carry me through ANY distance.

I became a Triathlete when I completed my first Sprint Distance Triathlon in May 2014. I have gone on to race in multiple Olympic Distance Triathlons, two 70.3 distances and completed Ironman Arizona in November 2015. Triathlon is a deep passion and my goal is to be 90 years old and still competing with a big smile on my face and bright red lipstick.

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and have been a certified instructor since March 2008. I am a Reiki Master and Teacher. Yoga, Reiki and meditation are my heart and soul and run deep in my spirit. It is a pure love and has taught me to surrender, been a sanctuary, and allowed me to find peace in all aspects of my life. I love to teach and practice the healing side and benefits of Yoga and Reiki. I am a Meditation Coach and run an online meditation group at Enlighten Yoga.

I love to write. I have finished one book to date and am actively seeking to find a publisher. Blogging is my writing outlet of choice these days and I have already started two additional books. I aspire to be a published author!

I love FOOD!  I love to cook it, bake it, and eat it.  I am simple with my recipes and eating. I believe in finding a balance of eating clean, fueling for my training, and enjoying the tastes, smells, and flavors of deliciousness!  I have an obsession with donuts and all things pizza with NO shame!

What I am most proud of in my life are my two beautiful boys.  They are my heart, breath, spirit, joy, happiness, and teach me more about life with their simple and pure love then I could ever dream to teach them.

    Hi,
Your blog is wonderful and you are very inspirational, thank you for sharing your journey. :). I’m wondering, what certification you went through to get your initial yoga certification? I have practiced yoga off and on for years and have found and fallen in love with it again and really want to keep it in my life and possibly teach it as well. Any advice you can give me is much appreciated. Thank you.

I am a half marathoner and would love to run a full one, but I am really scare of getting hurt. I started to taking some yoga classes.

    • Keep at it! You can do a full! Just take it slow and keep it fun. It will be hard but if it was easy, everyone would do it. Keep your vision and keep with yoga and BELIEVE you CAN do it!
