25. Write a letter defining one thing you learned, for every year you have been alive. So, if you are 15 — write 15 lessons. If you are 25, write 25 lessons.

  1. Every life begins with the breath and ends with the breath … We all should find more time to come back to that breath and just sit with it each day.
  2. A leopard never changes its spots.
  3. Not everybody stays forever. And that is ok. It doesn’t mean we don’t stop trusting.
  4. Physical pain is easier than emotional pain. Heartbreak is more painful than anything on earth.
  5. Not everyone will be as loyal to you as you are to them, choose your inner circle carefully.
  6. Nothing is definite.
  7. God is real. God is with us. God knows us. God loves us.
  8. God and the Universe are all interconnected … We just all call this higher power by different names. It is all the same. It is all love.
  9. Trust your gut. It doesn’t ever lie.
  10. You will never be the same after you hold your first child in your arms for the first time.
  11. The human body is capable of SO much more than we can imagine.
  12. Sometimes when you have to the make the hardest, most painful chose … It is the one that gives your heart the most peace.
  13. Sometimes people leave our lives and come back. Those are usually the ones that tend to stay from then on out.
  14. Friends are family that you choose and these bonds runs thicker than blood.
  15. You can’t make it through life alone. We all need somebody.
  16. A single slow, passionate kiss with the right person is the most erotic connection two souls can make.
  17. Forgiveness is the most powerful form of respecting and loving yourself. Forgive everyone.
  18. Speaking and living your truth will set you free.
  19. Everyone around you is harboring a story behind closed doors. Every.Fucking.Person. ESPECIALLY the person you least expect. Mental Illness to Addiction to Abuse to Bad Relationships. Never judge someone by what they present in the open.
  20. Nothing good ever happens when tequila and wine mix. Period.
  21. You are not defined by your past. Don’t let your history interfere with your destiny.
  22. Divorce doesn’t mean you failed. You are not a failure. Not one human knows what has gone on in your relationship that brought you to that point. You have not failed.
  23. Too many people stay together for the kids, the money, the comfort, the lifestyle … I am not an advocate of divorce but believe these reasons are not valid to stay in a marriage and will do more harm than good to everyone involved.
  24. Too many people give up too quickly on relationships and marriages.
  25. We all have an outlet. What you chose to do with that outlet can be healthy or destructive to your life.
  26. Love always wins.
  27. If you want it bad enough, you will work for it. If you don’t, you will make up excuses. In life. In relationships. In dating. In sports. In careers. In EVERYthing.
  28. There is no love on earth more powerful than a Mother’s Love for her child.
  29. Don’t let fear keep you from participating in your life.
  30. Nothing rejuvenates the spirit like a sunrise or sunset. Or anything in nature.
  31. People will only judge and criticize you when they see something in you they wish they could have, be or change within themselves.
  32. We aren’t given a dream without the power to manifest it.
  33. Sometimes when you least expect it, You will meet the person who will change your life.
  34. Follow your heart. Always.
